This is the "re-enactment" of my sisters actual engagement. I was their photographer for their engagement shots, and they got engaged JUST before i got there. the goobers. lol
JOURNALING reads: After dating for about 12 months, we decided to get married in August. With less than three months to prepare, we had to scramble to find a ring. Sharon graciously gave me pictures of three types she liked. But she insisted I pick it out by myself.
A couple of weeks later, with no formal proposal (a.k.a...asking on bended knee), we went to a nearby park to take our engagement photos. Sharon had brought along her mother’s wedding ring so we would have a ring in the photos.
While waiting for the photographer, we settled in to look at a small lake and joked about not having a “real” ring yet.
The moment was right, so I got down on one knee and nervously poured out my heart to her. I then pulled out the ring (the very ring she had tried on by herself a few weeks before).
Her first response was, “Oh crap!! I thought you were just role playing!!”
It was quickly followed by the appropriate, “Yes! Yes! Yes!!”
