Happy Birthday to my dh He is turning 21... again.

Today I am cheating. We are going to slip off and see Men in Black III later today for his birthday present. I will let you know how it goes.

Not a bad movie but not good either.

Ok-so this week just got interesting for me woke up this morning with only 1/2 of my face moving....hmmmm strange. Not have a stroke....I could do fine motor movements and talk....so off to the doctor I go. Diagnosis Bell's palsy. Should get better in 3-6 months....not happy about that. This is gonna be a long summer!

Given antivirals and steroids to take in hopes of stopping some of the damage to the facial nerve.

How in the heck do you get Bell's palsy???? I am super glad it is not a stroke, though. Will look up info on Bell's palsy so I can at least feel some what educated today.

Sneaking off now to go see the movie without the kids. HA, that happens so rarely

I had never heard of it either...I and I work in healthcare. Basically its an inflammation of the cranial nerves that control your facial muscles. Hence the stroke appearance. Supposedly caused by a virus if not a tumor or pregnancy. No tumor had a CT so its likely a virus and stress. And DEFINETLY NOT PREGNANT!!!
I should have gotten this more often with my stessful life. But I guess it goes away once the swelling goes away.

Hopefully it will go away quickly. That can not be comfortable in any way shape or form. Don't ya hate it when life keeps throwing things at you?
