I've been praying for you!!! My FIL has had the worst luck with jobs and has been laid off three times in the last three years. One of those periods he was unemployed for almost a year, it was rough! But, job hunting is all about connections now, and he managed to get hired by a business that he used to subcontract to with the first job he was laid off at!!! PTL!

What kind of certification/training do you have for health care? I know this sounds crazy... but casinos hire EMT's. My hubby worked at a Casino+Resort as an EMT, and he was desperately needed for all of the diabetics who just keep drinking without eating anything... there were days where he'd go through tubes of glucose reviving multiple people!! Most of the time he stood around doing nothing. He got pretty good pay compared to what he would of been making with an ambulance company or at the hospital. He made $3-4/hr more than with the ambulance company, and got mega benefits... where the ambulance company didn't offer any! The hospital would of been just slightly less, but they didn't have any openings.

I had never thought about a casino needing EMT's. What a great idea, and yeah, I bet the benefits rock those of the ambulance or hospital.
