Two infamous events happened on April 14, both of which carried over until the next day. Abraham Lincoln was shot on April 14, 1865 and died the next day. The Titanic struck an iceberg on April 14, 1912 and sunk early the following morning.

Moving on, it's National Be Kind to Lawyers Day. I guess no quoting Shakespeare to them today.

It's Ex Spouse Day. I'm sure that ties in with the lawyer day somehow, but I'm not sure how. And if anyone doesn't have an ex spouse, I'll be glad to share.

It's Children with Alopecia Day. I keep threatening to shave my children's heads if they don't comb their hair.

It's National Look Up at the Sky Day. I wonder what my boss would say if I told him I have to leave early today so I can lay on the beach and look at the sky.

It's Reach as High as You Can Day. Again, I'm sure there's a connection there.

In food, it's Pecan Day. Oooooooh, we can have pecan twirls for breakfast, sprinkle some on our salad for lunch, and then have butter pecan ice cream for dessert. :cheesecake:

Well, my dad is a lawyer so I guess I am nice to a lawyer everyday so that one is covered. I would love to go out and look up at the sky. That will be my goal. Not usually a hard one but today my 13 month old is battling some sort of stomach flu so we are stuck inside for now just looking out at the beautiful sunshiny day and listening to the birdies.

No ex here, yet... LOL I am really hoping to make a big dent in our spring cleaning today so, maybe I will force myself to take a break and go out to look up at the sky today!

Kiana, hope he feels better! Maybe you'll be able to sneak out for a few minutes to enjoy the beauty! And, who knows, maybe it'll help him feel better? Sometimes that helps with my DS, other times not...

half day of school today....who am I fooling, we do 1/2 days everyday! ha ha...so to the library and I believe a walk is in order.
all my CT adventures are caught up...gonna go figure out what layouts I need to reupload...just dont' have the oomph!

yet, Jamie! That made me lol! No ex here either, but man there are days!!! Not ime for any of the fun other stuff, but maybe after school I will get a minute to look at the sky. It is a gorgeous day here in the Land of Oz!

I watched an episode of the Barefoot Contessa this weekend on Food Network - she made pecan bars dipped in chocolate. I'm not a huge pecan freak but those looked great!

I love pecans! Might have to look up that recipe Lynn so I can drool over it.
