Today is Sodium Bicarbonate Day. Baking Soda! If you go to www.armhammer.com they have a few hundred uses for it, plus there are several other websites offering 75 or 100 uses for it, and a lot of them aren't duplicates. Of course you all know you can scrub burned food off your pots with it, and use it to de-stink the fridge or your kid's tennis shoes, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Put it in crevices around doors and windows to keep ants out. Sprinkle it around the garden to repel rabbits. Mix a spoonful with any shampoo to remove styling residue from your hair. A baking soda paste will draw out the venom from insect or jellyfish stings. Make your own Gatorade by adding baking soda to koolaid. It will clean just about anything in your house from your stove to your toilet to marble counter tops to floors to your pets without scratching. One that I am quite familiar with - steep 4 family size tea bags in a gallon of water, remove the tea bags, add 1 cup of baking soda, soak an old towel in it, and apply to sunburns. :)
The only other holiday we have is the Festival Of Enormous Changes At The Last Minute, which would pretty much be the story of my life.
If you haven't been to the store and looked yet, there are some awesome new products today. (end of shameless plug)
Happy Hump Day and time to start working on those New Years Resolutions!
