Today is American Tag/Touch Tag Day. So get out there and run around. It's good exercise. If you can't go outside, maybe you can play telephone tag or email tag. I do those all the time, but usually not on purpose. :fairy:
It' also Fire Prevention Day. You know what that means.

Today is also Sgt Alvin York Day. He was a WWI hero, receiving numerous medals for valor and service, leading the storming of a German machine gun bunker and capturing 132 enemy soldiers in one battle. He was such a hero that the Rotary Club in his home town decided to present him with a house when he came home from the war. Unfortunately, they didn't raise enough money, so they presented him with a half finished house and a mortgage that he had to pay on for 4 years before the bank would agree to transfer the deed into his name instead of the Rotary Club. He came home after the war with visions of creating educational opportunities for children in the mountains of Tennessee where he was raised. He did in fact found two schools, one of which is still in operation. Ronald Reagan was such an admirer that his family made sure the riderless horse in his funeral procession was one named Sgt York that was owned by a family friend. And BTW, altho nearly everything references him as a sargeant, he did in fact retire from military service as a colonel.
It's also Tube Top Day. I'm sure that will be celebrated among the porn fairy community, so well just skip the celebrations here.
It's RL Stine's birthday. Maybe you should read your kids The Night of the Living Dummy or The Haunted Mask before bed. Or maybe not. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/scared/scared0014.gif You should google him. My kids were shocked at what he looked like. Apparently they thought he should be as scary as one of his characters.
And it's Fluffernutter Day. I had never heard of one, apparently it's not that big in the south, but it's a northern delicacy and the official state sandwich in a few places. (WTH? Official State SANDWICH?!?!!?!) It's a sandwich made of peanut butter and marshmallow cream. And y'all make fun of our peanut butter and nanner samiches. Or even better, in the Carolinas, peanut butter and maple syrup.
Happy Thursday and Tag! You're it!
