Eclipse the movie came out this morning. Around here at 12:01. I was not there to see it. I thought about it, but I realized I would be spending several hours with screaming teenage girls, and thought better of it. It's official. I am old.
For any of you who were diehard enough tobe at the theater at 12:01, you probably already know this but the Kalaloch Lodge on the Olympic Peninsula near Forks, Washington is offering a Twilight Eclipse Package. For $202 per night, you get a room in the Cullens' stomping grounds, plus a map that highlights locations listed in the books, “Twilight” water bottles, “Twilight” trivia and a special “Twilight” dessert. Another company is offering a driving tour of Forks and LaPush. Find the deets here. (http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-blog/index.php/twilight-saga-eclips-7138/)
Today is Superman's birthday. Don't do anything stupid so that he has to save you today.
It's Meteor Day. If Superman takes the day off, who will save us from meteors. Oh, yeah. Harry Stamper and AJ. http://www.scifi-movies.com/images/a/armageddon1998film/image3.jpg
In food, it's Ice Cream Soda Day. I don't know how many times I have to tell them this. Ice cream belongs in a bowl. Dr Pepper belongs in a glass, can, or bottle. They don't go in the same container.
Happy Wednesday, and btw, PDW's hot July Pool Party is about to kick off!

LOL yeah I wouldn't be at a movie with screaming teens either lol. I have to wait for it to come out on DVD. I need the closed captioning.
Um icecream soda. Rootbeer float sounds good but I don't have either so thats out of the question. lol.
I will try and be careful today and not run into anything or step on anyone. Oh and try not to drop anything on my darn toes.
Have a great day everyone.
Hugs

I think I will see Eclipse in the theater, but only after the excitement wears off. I already feel out of place in that crowd since I'm sure I look like an old lady to the screaming teens! lol

I hated New Moon with the fire of a thousand...er, moons, so there's no way I'm seeing this one in a theater unless it's at the dollar phase. And before you point out that I didn't much care for New Moon the book, either, let me just say that if Kristen Stewart had actually been in the book it would be struggling to rise to the surface of a lake right now.

Yes, the pining and depression in the book and movie were a little much. That's why it was so easy to like Jacob. lol The books were not exactly a shining example of great literature, but I got sucked in nontheless, so I have to see the movies now, too!

So funny how people see things differently. I absolutely despised Jacob by midway through Eclipse. Pushy and arrogant have never been attractive to me. I'll take somebody to spoil and "woo" me anyday.
And I don't care if I'm 31. I was there at midnight wearing my Edward T-shirt and glow in the dark Silly Bandz. LMAO The last two were for my own personal amusement of course. Had to fit the part. Oh, and carrying my iPhone with the Edward skin, which is less of a joke since I have it every day and love it. LOL Yes, there were plenty of Woo Girls there. But I will admit to a few sharp intakes of breath at a certain shirtless werewolf and hot vampire kisses myself. Most of us who were a bit older just got a kick out of the kids enjoying it. I was actually more annoyed by the woman in front of me yelling "Really, you were surprised that happened? Never read the book?" Wanted to kick her. Overall it was a good movie, none of the movies will ever be as good as the books but such is life.
I do have a recommendation though. This probably goes without saying ... but you really shouldn't get drunk before going to a really late movie that you actually want to see. My friend suggested karaoke beforehand. My sister was driving. So I figured what the heck, I'll have a royal flush. which became 2. And those puppies were strooooong. I almost fell asleep during the first 15 minutes of the movie until my chocolate and coffee energy drink kicked in. LMAO

Nope, sorry, I'm not into Edward's whole "I know what's best for you so you'll do it my way or else" attitude. And as far as the rest of the vampires, I just want to say "Carlisle Cullen, you're a 370 year old vampire who doesn't drink human blood. Instead, you work as an emergency room doctor, where you take care of bleeding humans. That's about as screwed up as you can get on the vampire scale. Then we gotta factor in that you're married to a woman who's 250 years younger than you are. And the two of you have adopted a houseful of teenage vampire children. Teenage vampires, Carlisle. Now Alice is a pretty good kid and Jasper's biggest problem is that you have to keep reminding him that he can't eat his brother's girlfriend, but the other three are stuck at the stage of development when they were changed. That means Edward will never outgrow the angst thing, Rosalie will never outgrow the narcissism, and Emmett will never outgrow the fart jokes." and at that point I give him a Gibbs smack on the back of the head.

I will freely admit that Dani and Miss Chris got me hooked on the books (although I didn't really start to like them until around the end of 3). I'll admit to being Team Edward because I like the idea of a man who will "cherish" me instead of asking me why I didn't just walk it off. And Jacob annoyed the heck out of me when I was reading the books - I literally skipped everything written in Jacob's voice the first time aroun... oh wait, I just admitted to reading this stupid series twice. Dangit.
Anyways, the only thing about the movie that truly irritates me is Kristen Stewart. Ok, and the fact that all the Cullens are made up to look like Mimes.

I've adjusted to Kristen Stewart actually. I had a harder time accepting Robert Pattinson as Edward. He isn't hot enough to me, but every once in a while in Eclipse I'd see IT in him. Kristen is the perfect combo of strange looking and beautiful to play Bella to me. And she definitely has that whole brooding thing down perfect. I also finally see the actress who plays Esme as Esme instead of the crazy chick Alex dated on Grey's Anatomy. LOL
