and Apple Crisp for dessert! It's National TV Dinner Day! At my Walmart, the Sara Lee cheesecakes are right next to the Hungry Mans, does that mean they count as tv dinners? How about if I eat one for dinner sitting in front of the tv?
It's also Idea Swap Day. I've given you my ideas for tasty tv dinner, so let's here an idea from you.
Happy Thursday!

hahahahaha. I love this holiday! Actually, even as a kid, I never liked "tv dinners." My mom said I would cry when she made them. I thought they tasted like tinfoil...lol. i still do think that!
But, now, cheesecake. THAT i could do, no matter WHAT it tasted like.
Kelly, I absolutely think eating ANYTHING in front of the TV is a "tv dinner"...eat up!
My idea? oh boy...considering how empty my head generally is....hm.....well, I can share the idea I tell my kids every day they go to school?
"Okay, be happy! Put a smile on your face and spread that to everyone around you. Remember, you CHOOSE if you are going to be happy or not...so choose wisely."

TV Dinners can be good! There are some Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine varieties that I really like. :)
I have no ideas. I get no sleep so my brain has shut down.

Here's my idea (and I might just do it today):
When you're so overwhelmed with laundry because you just returned from a long weekend and it's the last thing you want to do, go to the laundromat. Seriously, pack it all up and get all the loads done at the same time. Then come home, treat yourself to a bubble bath (since you saved on the water bill by going to the laundromat), and spend all your new found free time playing a game with your kids or reading a book!

dang I we had mashed potatos last night, and a nice big salad, and stuffed pork chops. Tonight what with Adam working till close maybe the kids will have a pizza (that is close enough to a tv diner huh?) lol
Idea Swap Day----hmmm I'll have to get to you on that one...
We had mashed potatoes and corn last night. Actually we are having corn almost every night. I froze over 5 dozen ears in the past 2 days-my own version of TV dinners.
Thanks, Annette, got so busy I completely forgot my laundry.
Hey Brandi-how's it going?

Brandi! Good to see you, how are things? (Other than no sleep -- ick)
I love corn, just not on the cob. And every dinner in this house is a tv dinner, I guess. We stopped using the table for anything other than holidays about the time Kate went to college.

As little as I cook TV dinners are survival. LOL There are quite a few good ones out there though.
I'm all out of ideas today. :(

Kelly's Attention Deficit moments for the day - I just got a Skinny Cow Lowfat Fudgsicle out of my freezer, where they share space with Lean Cuisine tv dinners, and there's no stick in it! How do you forget to put a stick in a popsicle?
And NASCAR had their annual charity dirt race for the Victory Junction Camp for handicapped/seriously ill children last night, 9/9/09. Kasey Kahne, driving the #9 car, finished 9th. ROTFL

We had corn, mashed potatoes and fried pork chops last night but, I have no idea on tonight. I was supposed to take DS and go grocery shopping with a friend after she picked her kiddos up and grab my hubs a sandwich from Dominos on the way home but, he hubby decided he wants to run errands so, we're going to go earlier which goofs up the dinner plans! I can't wait until hubby goes back to working days! We have about a month of nights left!
Annette, Your plan still doesn't account for folding all the clothes! I despise folding laundry!! That's half the reason mine builds up!! LOL
I'm fresh out of ideas, sorry!

MMM, I love tv dinners. Actually sounds like a good plan since we will be late after soccer practice!
My little guy is child of the day at kindergarten today. I got to go have lunch with him and read a story to his class. They are so little!!

My idea for the day is: Keep one empty closet and a rake handy. When the doorbell rings, use the rake, and clear the floors into the empty closet and "voila" you are done!
