Yes, it is National Teddy Bear Day.

It's also Bonza Bottler Day (which means the day and the month are the same, which is nothing but an excuse for a party) and in food, it's Wienerschnitzel Day, (which is Country Fried Steak for those of us who aren't so fancy schmancy) and Steak au Poivre, which means it's coated with peppercorns. Neither are really good breakfast choices, so how about some nanner bread? You can put some peanut butter on it. Thank you, thank you very much.

Elvis is now leaving the building.

Oh Kelly, Chicken Fried Steak not a breakfast food? Maybe not in the South....but up here in beef country the ultimate breakfast is Steak and Eggs or if you're low on cash that day Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. I'm in a hurry though so I'll take the banana bread and run.

9/9....always makes me think of our friends who "planned" to have their daughter on 9/9/99. She was born at 12:47 am on 9/10/09. Guess they weren't very good at "planning". I'll have to remember to wish her Happy Birthday tomorrow. Happy Birthday today to our own Melissa (Melissa Daniel Designs) and to all those 10 year olds out there whose parents "planned" successfully. :LOL33:

I've never tried Chicken Fried steak myself but, it is quite popular as a breakfast food out here too. I'm just not huge on chuncks of meat for breakfast! LOL

I LOVE chicken fried steak! I'll eat it any time I can get it. Which may explain why the number for my pants size keeps going up...

DH will be home today, so there needs to be some cleaning happening between now and then. Can't believe how I can mess this place up with very little help.

Yeah down in OK they do alot of the CFS for breakfast, I just can't start my day by clogging my arteries, lol. One name should say it all for CFS Brkfst--Cracker Barrel lol

Anywho Teddy Bear day! yay! gives me an excuse to steal my teddy away from the kids (hey don't look at me that way they have like 37 stuffed animals-not counting the tiny little beanie ones)

Anywho Good Morning

I remember the first time I went to a breakfast diner type place in MA and saw "steak and eggs" on the menu - I was so puzzled but thought I'd try it. LOVE it! CFS is O.K., but I have to be in the mood for it. I am (insert gasp) not a fan of the gravy that sometimes gets served with it at Cracker Barrel, so I tend to get something else.

Julie, It's not YOU messing up your house - it's an errant lawn gnome I saw skulking around earlier. Make HIM clean it up!

Ha, well, "errant" being the key word - he always leaves when it's time for cleanup...

One room down. If I can keep it neat while I clean the rest. Oh, and I hung some pictures in my office. Man, I am AWFUL at hanging pictures because... I don't like to measure. And I apparently have crooked eyes because eyeballing it never goes that well. So I have 47 unused holes in my wall which I am forced to cover with more pictures so DH doesn't find out (looking like a theme here, doesn't it. Can ya tell I married Mr. Tidypants?)

Ha, ha, I had a teddy bear once. My granddaughter gave it to me for Christmas the year she was 3. It came home and took up residence on the bed in our guest room. The first time she came to visit she played with it all afternoon. It moved quietly into her toy box. A couple visits later she asked to take it home for a visit-promised to bring it back. Last time I saw it, it was peeking out of the basket of stuffed animals in her bedroom.
