August 31 - Happy Trail Mix day

It's also National Eat Outisde Day, which of course works with the trail mix, but wouldn't it have worked better with the toasted marshmallows?

I love trail mix. But I pick out the raisins because, in the brand I buy, they have a funny taste. I make my kids eat them though....isn't that sweet.:D

I am attempting to win worst mother of the year award. My poor coughing, sniffling, feverish baby is here at work with me today until daddy can get off work later to come get him. He looks so pitiful. I have a huge tv in my small office and he is all bundled up watchimg leroy and stitch (the really bad sequel to lilo and stitch). Oh well, at least he is with me.

Hope he gets feeling better Chris - seems like all three of my kids have already got the sniffles and school has only been in session a week! I feel really behind and how did September come upon us already? Guess I better eat some mix and get cracking!

Awww, hope the wee ones feel better soon...that season has come upon us pretty fast it seems!!

Yesterday would have been an awesome Trail Mix day for me--we went to some hot springs and it was quite the walk in and out!! Whew! 2 miles in and 2 miles out, I was really aching when we finally got there, felt awesome when I got out (after having to WAIT for others who were already in-no room) and then aching by the time we got back to the car!! LOL Not sure if I would have rather crossed the FREEZING cold river to get to the other one. What a day!!

Trail mix...I have to be in the mood for it, but when I am I love it like nothing else on earth for some reason. Eating outside though..it's nice here today - not too hot or cold - maybe we can just set up a table and chairs outside in the back yard for dinner. I'll just have to remember to set up out of reach of the dogs (or put them inside while we eat). The new one is VERY food motivated and will slowly move in on you if you don't make him lay down lol.
