Hopefully you are ready to scrap some memories and save some stories for future generations to read!

2. March is a month of ____________ for me because….{ March is a month of madness for me because our school has a week long spring break and the kids all complain that they are bored for a straight week.}
3. The first quarter of the year has gone by and I feel like…{The first quarter of the year has gone by and I feel like I don’t know where it went or what I accomplished so far.}

You can use pictures or not…the main focus is on the journaling and stories that are being preserved…It can be worded for your kids or for the public…ie: {first person or second} If I am journaling on my kids pages I tend to write in first person, so that the journaling as they read it, comes from me. So I don’t worry about using names like “Me on the front porch in June” instead of putting “Claudette on the front porch in June.”

Before you begin here are a few simple guidelines that must be met:
1) Use at least one item from a Plain Digital Wrapper designer
(can be any item including designer samplers/freebies)
2) Be a new layout created for the challenge
3) Only be entered in one challenge category

Don’t forget to post it in the gallery and place a link here so we can show some love!
You will recieve one wrapper for completing the challenge and a bonus wrapper for using all PDW products! Once you completed it also post to the wrapping up points thread so you don’t get missed!
This challenge will run from March 1-31st.

Give Me Space Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to this month’s “Give Me Space” Challenge! I AM thrilled to have you here! Last month you all rocked it and we had a lot of new members join us – thank you! I hope to see even more this month!

So many have asked how I do my “white space” layouts… it’s really simple but takes getting a little comfortable working with a lot less and really making your photos *pop!*

I was your typical clusterer. Yup, that’s a word in the scrap world LOL and when I began to work with a minimalist designer, that’s when I learned how it’s done…really by accident and just playing with a LOT less!
-
I found this quote on “white space” and I hope it helps you understand it even more:

“White space is about letting what you have to show and say stand on its own. It’s about the drama of a good photo shining in all its glory. It’s about giving the eye a much needed rest. It’s about purity of intent. It’s a calm in the storm of visual life.” ~ Cathy Zielske

Here are a few examples of my own White Space gallery to perhaps give you some creative ideas as to how white space is done:
