Here’s what I asked Jen:
1. Has your birthplace influenced you life and how? Nope, not really. I was born in Ogden, UT – but we moved from there a few months later for Colorado. Then a few years after that to Green Bay, WI – where I was raised. So it is really the laid back cheesehead lifestyle that has influenced me the most.
2. Why are they called stairs inside but steps outside? ROFL! All I can do with this one is shake my head, giggle at you for asking it, and then answer, “Indeed – why?”
3. If you were given $100 to spend on yourself, how would you spend it? You mean if we had a real choice? Because of course if someone gave me $100 I would have to pay bills. sigh. But if there were that stipulation that I couldn’t pay bills, nor buy things for my kids, I think I would put it toward a new Canon EOS 50d and lots of bells and whistles. sigh.
4. What was the best thing before sliced bread? That people actually made their OWN bread. There is nothing like homemade bread for toast or BLT sandwiches. Shoot – for any kind of sandwich!
5. If you were bald, would you wash your head with shampoo or soap? What do you mean? I AM going bald. sigh. a little – in the front. So the real question is “Why is it that when men lose their hair, they are distinguished – but when women lose their hair, they are just older and frumpy????” Oh, and my answer is shampoo. rofl
6. If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons? snort. of course. We learned that EARLY on in my house.
7. What is your favorite NASA invention? Well, since I am almost blind as a bat without them, I am so glad they invented scratch-resistant lenses for our glasses. Because ya’ll know me and doors and walls and anything else that my cross my path. HA! But I must say close in second and third are my Memory Foam bed and my cordless drills! Oh YEAH! Nothing gives a woman as much power as walking around with a power tool. Everyone do the Tool Time grunt here.
8. Would you rather never leave the state in which you live now or be required to permanently relocate to another country and be allowed to travel? I am more than happy where I am. If I am never allowed to leave, that means all my family and friends will have to come here to get a great dose of ME! And who doesn’t want that????
9. For how much money would you be willing to shave your head and lead your life without covering it up? Been there, done that. NOT that big of a deal, gals. rofl. But hey – if you are going to PAY me…ahem.
10. What 3 things are essential in a good movie? Well, an actual PLOT for one. Tired of movies that really don’t have one…gees. So. Plot. Good writing that flows. Incredible cinematography. And four – Gerard Butler. ahem
11. Why do we say “heads up” when we mean “duck”? lol. You really got me on that one. Doesn’t it have something to do with golf? Because by the time they hit the ball, everyone is snoring with their heads down, so they yell “HEADS UP” so the spectators can be ready to duck if the ball is coming their way. I think. snort.
12. Outside of work, do you ever rehearse what you’ll say on the phone? There is an “outside of work?” Where is that? (answering for all those moms who work, at every job even the home!) But, no. I don’t. But I am sure everyone on the other end WISHED I had rehearsed. sigh.
13. Would you rather have high end, current items or high end memories? huh? um…. huh?
14. What fashion trends would you rather not revisit? I have to say it because I had it – Farrah Faucet Bangs and curling irons. yuk.
15. If you could be a man for a day, would you? Absolutely NOT! Not saying anything else.
16. If someone invented a mute button that could be used on people would you buy one? Yeah, right. That is what everyone else buys to put on ME! Yes, I am aware of that and I really am TRYING! lol
17. How does your age affect your life? It never used to other than I watched that calendar as I got older. Now…not at all. I am so happy. I love me and who I am inside and, well, not quite out yet. lol. 40 is a great age, and now I understand why. Although I am happy, even if I weren’t – there would still be plenty of time to make changes. And yet enough “time” behind us to help us realize what really matters in life.
18. Why can you wear a bikini in public but not matching underthings? rofl. I personally don’t like it when people wear bikinis. so there.
19. Do you ever just laugh when someone you love is mad and throwing a fit? Are you kidding? ALL of the time – and their names are Gayle, Caleb, and Tianna. Actually, they gave up throwing fits because it just doesn’t work on me.
20. Why does an alarm clock go “off” when the buzzer turns on? Okay, you are truly killing me, girl. I need to go pee now. sigh.
